introducing
I realized I hadn't put enough pictures of the girls on here, so...!Shannon and Michelle. Shandog came from California and Michelle came from Peru since her dad heads up the Bible college campus over there, but they became best friends at the Germany campus last semester so here they are now. Totemo kawaii ne??
That's my huge head and then Erin's awesome one.
Her testimony is sweet. She thought she was coming to Okinawa to study karate, but the Lord had a totally different plan. Before she moved here, she was meeting with a Japanese guy to study the language. Just so happens the guy had a cousin in Okinawa named Kayo, so he gave Erin Kayo's contact information. When Erin got there, her sensei found her this apartment that just so happened to be right around the corner from where Kayo works. And Kayo just happens to be the translator for Calvary Chapel Ginowan! Hen de sho?
Well, Erin's now walking so boldly in the Lord and going to the Bible college with us. This has all taken place just in the last few months. Pretty incredible. We love Erin.
Yumi, our awesome roommate. She's way rad and can hang with us weird Amerika-jin tachi. Who can't speak good Japanese.
Mmm, take two.
Yeah, we were chasing her around with the camera while she was goin "No no onegai shimasu onegai onegai shimasu!!!" (which means nooo pleeeaaasssee) til she finally put a couch cover over her head.
I always walk past this freaky little guy. I dunno, but I'd be a little upset if I went to a dentist and my teeth came out looking like this.
A road.
Not quite the modern buildings and crazy haired Tokyo people you'd expected to see in Japan, but you'll find out from the natives that Okinawa isn't really Japan. Pastor Tom said it was kinda considered the ghetto of Japan, but I like it here. It's got a very laid back Hawaiian shaka bra type feel.
Well, busy day today. I'll do the picture thing again soon.
