meet the roomies!

I apologize, I've been a terrible slacker at updating lately. But I finally got some pics of my roomies, and will have more to come. Promise.

As a female dorm steward, I guess I'm expected to garnish the door with name signs worthy of a magazine cover. (Since that's pretty much what all the other female dorm stewards did for their girls.) Well. They were arriving like the next day, and all I had were left over papers and crayons (and little to no artistic ability). Doh!

Jeanette did my name and convinced me to put it in the middle "as a joke". And poor Sarah's blew off the door and flew two stories down into a muddy bush and sat there for three days in the rain before I found it when I was landscaping. What must they think of me.

Well, without further ado...the Monterrey 166 posse :

L-R, bighead, Alysia, Ryan, Sarah, and Michelle.

We went to In-N-Out (もっと ちょう おいしい だよ!!) for our Sunday night dorm meeting and just chilled. They're all super funny and amazing. I got blessed.

Pray for us, that our room would be a place of unity and peace filled with the love of Jesus.

steward retreat

On Tuesday all the dorm stewards went on a retreat up to the mountains for a time of just gettin in the Word and chillin out. It snowed, and I freaked out, so Mizrak volunteered to play with me because she's from Ethiopia.

We made this snowdude.

Miz killed the first one we tried to make. Poor lil guy.

Jeanette as a lumberjack, which is appropriate since this old lady at a convalescent home used to think her name really was Jack.

It was foggy.

Then I nailed her, and she was mad.

Day two. More snow.

Busy weekend. We were pooped. I've got way too many pics of this girl sleeping.

Please keep praying for us. There've been a lot of sessions and preparations, and now all this learning's going to be implemented come next week. Pray that all the dorm stewards would be faithful with what God's entrusted to us!

we're here

Well, we're back in Murrieta. Slight delay at the airport, but it's all good. Jeanette was sleepy after her short outburst of latino fire at the check in counter. But she's okay now.

First things first. We went back to the old stomping grounds, as in Fox's Pizza. This stuff is seriously the best.

See?

Mmmmmm.
